Heel/Arch Pain (Plantar Fasciitis)

Very commonly, heel pain (often referred to as Plantar Fasciitis) is caused by inflammation, thickening and abnormal tightness of the connective tissue that spans from the base of the toes, across the arch of the foot, to the point at which it attaches to the heel bone. This disorder is also sometimes referred to as “heel spur syndrome.” The condition can usually be treated with anti-inflammatory medications, ice packs, stretching exercises, orthotic devices, and physical therapy. While the national average treatment time for heel pain has been reported to take as long as 6 months, our office typically sees significant improvement within the first few visits for surprisingly more efficient and faster improvement. The result is less pain and quicker return to an active lifestyle in a cost-effective manner.
